Andrew Padgett to Miss 4-5 Months
Sunday, July 21st, 2013
The Eureka Hornets were dealt a severe blow when Andrew Padgett was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws. After the game, the team trainer reported Padgett might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 23-year-old left fielder out for the rest of the season with a broken kneecap. They indicated it would take Padgett at least 4-5 months to heal.

For the year Padgett has hit at a .305 clip with 42 RBIs, 10 home runs and 70 runs scored.
