RCL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Saturday, June 1st, 2013 A veritable toddler to the Roberto Clemente League, Leslie Whitney just sewed up the Rookie of the Month trophy for May. Over the past month the 21-year-old center fielder for Nottinghamshire hit .373 with 41 hits, 5 home runs and 21 RBI. He also logged 11 walks and compiled a .431 on-base percentage. This season Whitney is hitting .317 with 69 hits, 6 home runs, 32 RBIs, scored 29 runs and played in 53 games. |
