McDowell Humbles Nottinghamshire Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013 Everything clicked on the hill today for Joe McDowell of the Dallas Texans as he hurled his club to a 4-0 shutout win over the Nottinghamshire Outlaws, limiting them to 5 hits while recording 4 strikeouts and yielding 2 walks. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Outlaws manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him." In pitching stats this season McDowell has rung up 2 wins and 2 losses in 5 games.
