Woodard on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, May 6th, 2013 At the age of 26, John Woodard might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Jersey left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .529 batting average. For his efforts Woodard collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 9 hits in 17 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs last week in 5 games. Thus far this year Woodard has hit .358 with 7 home runs and 22 RBIs. |
