Red-Hot Faherty Scorches Bandits
Thursday, April 4th, 2013
What a day for Cromawn Faherty of the Seattle Sasquatch! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped Montreal pitching apart at Labatt Bleue Park and sparked the Sasquatch to a 11-7 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Faherty told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
Cromawn Faherty singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
