Fighters Starting Pitcher Tanaka Injured Saturday, September 15th, 2012 The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters were informed today by team doctors that starting pitcher Yujiro Tanaka sustained a torn labrum in a recent game against the Saitama Seibu Lions and will not play for 11 months. Tanaka was hurt throwing a pitch. This year Tanaka has posted a record of 9 wins and 3 losses with a 3.09 ERA. He has appeared in 26 games and struck out 181 in 160.1 innings. |
