Kanno Grabs CL Top Pitcher Trophy Saturday, September 1st, 2012 Kazuhiko Kanno has made fans throughout Nippon Baseball League take notice over the past month with an exceptional 4-0 record. No pitcher in the Central League threw better in August, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 4 starts Kanno compiled a 2.64 ERA, putting up a 4-0 record, striking out 39 and tossing 30.2 innings. For this year Kanno has chalked up 18 wins and 3 losses in 22 starts with 193 strikeouts in 162.1 innings and a 3.66 ERA. |
