Most of the time the accolades go to the starters, but not this season. A Fukuoka SoftBank reliever, Soleh Purbacaraka, has been honored with the 2018 Cy Young Award in the Pacific League. The Hawks ace appeared in 14 games and saved 0 of them. He finished with a record of 9-1 and a 2.63 ERA. Purbacaraka had 98 strikeouts in 89 innings and limited opposing hitters to a .218 batting average. |
