Samit Crushes 4 Home Runs Saturday, August 11th, 2018 Hokkaido Nippon-Ham right fielder Rameshchandra Samit ravaged ORIX with 4 home runs today in the Fighters 14-13 win over the Buffaloes. He finished the day, going 4-5 with 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "What can I say? My guys could've shot the ball out of a rifle and he'd probably hit 'em out anyway," said the ORIX skipper. "There's nothing you can do when a guy gets in that kind of zone, you just hope he cools down some before you have to face him again." When asked about his record performance, Samit responded, "After the first two I just tried to do everything the same way and it worked!" Then, with a broad grin forming, he said, "With any luck I'll see you all again tomorrow!" Rameshchandra Samit hit a three-run home run off Rama Santhanakrishnan in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Rama Santhanakrishnan in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ju-ao Situ in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Panut Prawiranega in the 9th. So far on the season Samit is hitting .367 with 10 home runs, 41 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 47 hits and played in 30 games. |
