Muljana Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 Long hitting streaks don't happen very often and when they happen it perks up everybody's interest. No one knows how long it will go -- it could end tomorrow -- but baseball fans and Buwono Muljana are enjoying the moment right now. The 17-year-old Chiba Lotte left fielder extended his string to 20 consecutive games in Ballpark of Aomori College today. Muljana got 1 hit, but the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks got the victory. They toppled the Marines 8-3. Buwono Muljana grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 9th. This season Muljana has delivered 35 hits in 90 at-bats for a .389 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .440 clip and his totals also include 10 RBIs and 16 runs scored. This year Muljana has played in 20 games. |
