Bhanuratha Vaithu Out for 4 Months Sunday, May 27th, 2018 Chunichi Dragons reliever Bhanuratha Vaithu suffered a torn back muscle during a recent game with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows and will miss 4 months. Vaithu told BNN, "I hurt it throwing a pitch. I'm optimistic that I will be back quicker than they say." To this point in the season, Vaithu has put up these figures: 1-1 record, 11 relief appearances with 11 innings, no saves, 11 strikeouts, 8 walks and a 9.00 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .327 batting average. |
