Chunichi-Hiroshima Toyo Brawl, Rodríguez and Pan Suspended Saturday, May 19th, 2018 It was quite a row yesterday at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College. The Dragons Jorge Rodríguez and the Carp Zuo-qian Pan backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Rodríguez and Pan were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 5-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. So far this year Rodríguez is batting .297 with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 40 runs scored. This season Pan has nailed down no saves with 5 strikeouts in 4.2 innings. He is credited with no wins and no losses and has a 11.57 earned run average. |
