Hiroshima Toyo Reliever Soumitra Will Retire Friday, May 18th, 2018 It's a somber day for Carp fans as Harija Soumitra announced that he will retire at the end of the 2018 season. The Hiroshima Toyo reliever attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills. "I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them." |
