Skender Stretches Hit String to 20 Saturday, May 12th, 2018 It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Volkan Skender without a hit in a game. The Dragons couldn't do it in today's game at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College. The Tokyo Yakult Swallows first baseman banged out 1 hit and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 2-0 victory. Volkan Skender flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. In 38 games this year Skender has posted a .345 average and put up these numbers: 10 home runs, 42 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |
