Ghei Wins PL Player of the Week Honors Monday, March 26th, 2018 17-year-old Balavarnin Ghei made a few Tohoku Rakuten headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Pacific League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .550 average. Ghei collected 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 8 runs. |
