Im Slams 5 Hits for Tohoku Rakuten Sunday, March 18th, 2018 It was a sensational day at the plate for Se-tol Im as he led the charge to a 12-9 win over the Lions. The Tohoku Rakuten shortstop was pure misery for the Saitama Seibu pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Lions told BNN reporters after the game, "Im put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Se-tol Im doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. This season Im has hit at a .400 clip and produced 8 runs batted in, no home runs and 7 runs. |
