Zadvornev 5-6 for Fighters Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 Today the Hawks downed the Fighters 10-9, but Yerik Zadvornev did his best to avoid that outcome as he lashed hits all over Ballpark of Aomori College in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham left fielder said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter." Asked if he had a hitting philosophy, Zadvornev said, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of good pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Yerik Zadvornev struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and singled in the 10th. |
