Pacific League Announces Top Starter Friday, June 1st, 2012 Yoritomo Ito was a long shot to make the Saitama Seibu Lions this year, especially being a 30-year-old rookie. Now the Saitama Seibu hurler has parlayed a 3-0 record into the Pacific League Pitcher of the Month award. In May, he chalked up 47 strikeouts in 30.1 innings and compiled a 0.89 ERA. For this year Ito has chalked up 4 wins and no losses in 6 starts with 68 strikeouts in 44 innings and a 1.64 ERA. |
