"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Taniguchi. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Giants star told reporters. Taniguchi excelled with an impressive 7-3 record in 13 starts. In 87 innings he yielded 62 hits and 21 walks, while striking out 77 and compiling a fine 2.28 ERA. |
