Liu, Yue Suspended for Fracas Tuesday, August 15th, 2017 After an intense confrontation, both the Carp Hsin-ta Liu and the Giants San-pao Yue were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Hiroshima Toyo-Yomiuri game. Both players will miss 4 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Hsin-ta Liu commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this year Liu has hit .322 with 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and 30 runs scored. This season Yue has been credited with no saves in 18 relief appearances. In 19.2 innings he has a 1-0 won-lost mark, 1.83 ERA and 19 strikeouts |
