Week's Best Player: Yokohama's Ine Monday, July 17th, 2017 Central League pitchers will attest that it was tough to get Takanori Ine of the Yokohama Bay Stars out last week. His all-around performance at the plate made him the league's most recent Player of the Week. The 17-year-old first baseman boasted a .471 average with 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Ine went 8-17 for the week. Thus far in 2017 Ine is hitting .241 with 7 home runs, 24 RBIs, 11 runs scored and has compiled a .348 OBP. |
