Morita Brings Home CL Batter of Month Honor Thursday, June 1st, 2017 The most recent Central League Batter of the Month trophy was awarded to right fielder Yoshihide Morita of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. In May he stood head and shoulders above all other batters by hitting .500 with 9 home runs, 19 RBIs and 20 runs scored. So far this year Morita has 16 home runs and a .328 batting average. |
