Manager Simpson Gets Walking Papers in Chunichi Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 The Chunichi Dragons finally pulled the trigger today, firing manager Michael Simpson. Simpson was rumored to be on the chopping block for some time and the team ownership had apparently had enough of the club lack of success. The GM said, "We had a good relationship, but we just didn't make enough progress under his leadership. We thought we gave him everything he needed for success, but it just didn't happen." No replacement has been named. |
