Matsushita Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, April 30th, 2017 Motoyasu Matsushita's bat has been smoking lately as he went 2-for-6 in today's 11-8 triumph over Chunichi at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College. The 22-year-old left fielder for the Yomiuri Giants has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games. Motoyasu Matsushita flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Sukejuro Nakamura in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. For the season Matsushita is hitting .344, batted in 46 runs with 17 home runs and 27 runs scored. |
