Hayashi Takes PL #1 Pitcher Trophy Thursday, September 1st, 2016 Masamune Hayashi was a long shot to make the Chiba Lotte Marines this year, especially being a 33-year-old rookie. Now the Chiba Lotte hurler has parlayed a 4-0 record into the Pacific League Pitcher of the Month award. In August, he chalked up 31 strikeouts in 27 innings and compiled a 2.33 ERA. This season Hayashi has compiled a 9-5 mark with a 3.58 ERA. |
