Yes, It's a No-No by Imamura
Wednesday, July 20th, 2016
"This is one of the best moments of my life," Haruki Imamura said. "You never think that's going to happen -- a no-hitter."
He made those comments after he held the Swallows hitless in the Hiroshima Toyo 3-0 victory at Frogs Ballpark.
"We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," said the Tokyo Yakult manager, when asked about his epic performance. "Imamura was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number."
Imamura was more humble about his historic feat and told BNN reporters that he was "just happy to get the win for the club."
He faced only 29 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 16 and walked 2.
Checking out his stats for the year, Imamura has racked up 5 wins and 1 loss in 10 starts, 4.15 ERA and struck out 75 batters in 56.1 innings.
