Pitcher Nakanishi Named PL Player of the Week Monday, July 18th, 2016 Youth was served last week as 19-year-old Daisuke Nakanishi put together a remarkable stretch on the mound, outpacing all other Pacific League pitchers and hitters to win Player of the Week honors. The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters hurler rang up 11 strikeouts in 14.1 innings, compiling an ERA of 2.51 and posting a fine 2-0 mark. Checking out his stats for the year, Nakanishi has racked up 4 wins and 10 losses in 18 starts, 5.86 ERA and struck out 86 batters in 93.2 innings. |
