CL Star of the Week Announced Monday, July 4th, 2016 Pitchers who faced the Chunichi Dragons last week were happy to see Yasujiro Uchiyama in the rear view mirror. The 21-year-old right fielder was dubbed the Central League Player of the Week for a 4-game tear that saw him hit at a .400 clip. For the week He also chalked up 8 hits in 20 at-bats, 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Uchiyama is presently hitting at a .347 pace with 15 home runs and 61 RBIs. He has played in 53 games and scored 57 times. |
