Bad News for Carp, Kubo Injured Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 Shirai Kubo of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp could be headed for the disabled list after suffering a ruptured achilles tendon in a game against the Hanshin Tigers. He is expected to miss at least 6 months. The Hiroshima Toyo left fielder was injured running the bases. During the current season Kubo is batting at a .341 clip with 17 home runs and 41 RBIs. He has played in 32 games and scored 30 times. |
