He was injured against the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles while running the bases. Because of a torn posterior cruciate ligament, the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham catcher is expected to miss 8-9 months. Miyazaki was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." On the year Miyazaki has hit .246 with 7 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 48 runs. |
