5-Hit Blitz by Fukuoka SoftBank's Takeuchi Sunday, July 26th, 2015 All game long Fukuoka SoftBank's Tokuma Takeuchi was rattling the walls at Ballpark of Aomori College and banging out base hits against the Chunichi Dragons. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Hawks had a 9-8 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 30-year-old first baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Tokuma Takeuchi hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Takeuchi is hitting at a .375 pace with 8 home runs, 41 RBIs and has scored 51 times. |
