Watanabe Goes on Rampage Against Marines Saturday, July 11th, 2015 5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Jo Watanabe of the Yomiuri Giants had a sensational 5-6 game against Chiba Lotte at Ballpark of Nasu College. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 17-2 shellacking of the Marines. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?" Jo Watanabe hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. Currently Watanabe is batting .324 with 4 home runs and 32 RBIs. |
