2014 PL Cy Young Award Chosen Saturday, October 25th, 2014 The Cy Young Award for 2014 has been presented and the Pacific League winner is Takao Onishi of Hokkaido Nippon-Ham. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Onishi. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Fighters star told reporters. Onishi excelled with an impressive 16-5 record in 27 starts. In 180.2 innings he yielded 133 hits and 18 walks, while striking out 216 and compiling a fine 2.69 ERA. |
