With those numbers it came as no surprise that Hanshin's 23-year-old right fielder earned Central League Batter of the Month honors. Iijima is batting .390 this season in 60 games with 11 home runs, 63 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 89 hits in 228 at-bats. |
