Kichida Wins PL Honor Monday, July 14th, 2014 Motoyuki Kichida stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Pacific League Player of the Week honors. The Fukuoka SoftBank left fielder ripped opposing pitchers for 9 hits in 16 at-bats and 3 home runs. He put together a sizzling .563 batting average as he knocked in 9 runs and scored 8 times. This season Kichida has delivered 87 hits in 251 at-bats for a .347 average with 11 home runs. He is getting on base at a .443 clip and his totals also include 38 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
