Barrage of Hits Gets Yoshida CL Award Monday, June 16th, 2014 Yoshida swung a blistering bat last week for Hanshin, rapping out 10 hits in 17 at-bats against Tigers opponents to propel himself to the Central League Player of the Week Award. Whenever the left fielder hit the ball, he hit it with authority. The 19-year-old racked up a .588 batting average with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 6 runs scored. For the season Yoshida is hitting .343, batted in 44 runs with 11 home runs and 31 runs scored. |
