PL Presents Player of the Week Trophy

A veteran of baseball wars, Shunji Sugimoto knows how to stay with a stroke that's working for him. The 36-year-old second baseman for the Golden Eagles batted .353 last week on his way to the Pacific League Player of the Week award.
His noteworthy week also featured 6 hits in 17 at-bats, 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
In 28 games this year Sugimoto has posted a .323 average and put up these numbers: 15 home runs, 33 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
