PL's Best Pitcher is Sato Monday, October 28th, 2013 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Kinnosuke Sato performed like a veteran on the hill for the Chiba Lotte Marines and walked away with the Pacific League Cy Young Award in the process. The 19-year-old Marines star fashioned a 14-3 won-loss record in 2013 with a 1.71 ERA. In 163.1 innings of work and 24 starts, Sato struck out 259 while giving up 122 hits and 31 walks. He held opposing batters to a .202 average. |
