Tokyo Yakult's Kitamura CL Star of the Week Monday, June 3rd, 2013 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Soshu Kitamura was rewarded with the Central League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Tokyo Yakult Swallows second baseman hit .684 while collecting 13 hits in 19 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBIs. For the season Kitamura has produced 51 hits in 129 at-bats for a .395 average with 2 home runs and gotten on base at a .467 clip. |
