Yokohama's Aoki Out 12-13 Months Thursday, May 23rd, 2013 After injuring himself, Bay Stars reliever Noriaki Aoki headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Aoki will miss at least 12-13 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Season-to-date, Aoki has rung up no saves in 13 relief appearances. He has 13 strikeouts and 15 walks in 12.2 innings while registering a 10.66 ERA and a 0-2 won-lost record. |
