Super Swinger -- White Slams 5 Hits Friday, May 25th, 2018 Doug White had an answer for everything the Niagara Stars threw him today in the Saskatoon 11-4 triumph at Drummondville College Grounds. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Saskatoon first baseman went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, White said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Doug White singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Frank Henson in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. A look at his current stats shows White with a .366 average, 25 home runs, 85 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He has played in 60 games. |
