Esteban Lugo out of Lineup 7 Months Friday, May 11th, 2018 Watching Esteban Lugo getting helped off the field today at Drummondville College Grounds, fans of the Victoria Capitals feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 7 months with shoulder inflammation. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Lugo suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Stars. Lugo has made 12 starts this season, posting 6 wins and 2 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .214 against him and he has 77 strikeouts in 78.1 innings with a 2.07 ERA. |
