White Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Saturday, May 5th, 2018 Doug White must believe in the Big Bang theory. He proved it today by going deep three times against the Trois-Rivieres Saints. The heavy-hitting Saskatoon first baseman added a lot of firepower and excitement to today's 18-3 win over the Saints. Fans and foes alike are still buzzing about his standout performance at Ballpark of Red Deer College. He told reporters, "I've been working on my swing ... trying to keep it short, compact and simple. It worked today." For the game he had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6, and scored 3 runs. Doug White flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Fernando Ramírez in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Lush in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jorge López in the 5th, walked in the 6th and walked in the 7th. White is hitting at a .372 mark this season. His stats show 24 home runs, 81 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has played 57 games for the Legends. |
