White Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Sunday, April 15th, 2018 The Legends were defeated 9-7 today at Ballpark of Red Deer College by the Monarchs, but you can't say Doug White didn't give it his best try. The Legends first baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for White and a tough day for Saskatoon. "I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." No plan or not, White delivered today... 5-5 is outstanding in any league. Doug White hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Joe Benson in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. For the year White has hit at a .390 clip with 57 RBIs, 16 home runs and 45 runs scored. |
