MR Jesús Cortéz Out Monday, March 26th, 2018 The Legends received bad news this morning. Jesús Cortéz will miss 4-5 months due to bone chips in his elbow. He sustained the injury in the Saskatoon-Kelowna game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Cortéz sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." So far this season Cortéz has picked up 1 save in 9 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 4.96 ERA and fanned 16 batters in 16.1 innings. |
