Petit Gets 5 Hits Monday, May 22nd, 2017 5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Christophe Petit of the London Monarchs had a sensational game against Trois-Rivieres at Hatchets Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 24-1 shellacking of the Saints. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Christophe Petit singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Szeto Ouyang in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Cody MacBride in the 8th. Petit is currently hitting at a .284 pace with 8 home runs, 30 RBIs and has scored 41 times. |
