LBL Starter of the Month Goes to Doherty Monday, June 1st, 2015 When Clifford Doherty takes the mound, a Calgary victory is usually the result. At least that's the way it was in May. He excelled with a 4-0 mark and a 0.50 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 36 innings, fanned 57 and held opposing batters to a .120 average. That's why the Outlaws starter was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the Lester B. Person League. This year Doherty has worked 65 innings with 104 strikeouts en route to a 8-0 record and 0.83 ERA. |
