Garland Birch Suffers Injury Sunday, May 17th, 2015 Disappointing news today for Montreal Royales fans. Garland Birch was hurt making a defensive play in their game against the Trois-Rivieres Saints and has a broken bone in the elbow. Team trainers were hesitant to predict a date for return but said it was likely the injury will keep the shortstop out at least 4-5 months. Hitting .254 to date, Birch has no home runs and 10 RBIs. He has played in 33 games. |
