Saśl Padilla Forced To Retire, Suffers Another Setback Monday, August 13th, 2018 The injury that forced Saśl Padilla to go on the disabled list is serious -- and the possibility that it's career-ending hasn't been ruled out according to his agent. Speaking to reporters in Louisiana-Layfayette today, Padilla's agent told them, "It's a pretty serious injury. I guess there's always the possibility it's career-ending, but we're not sure. He's getting intensive treatment five days a week." The 21-year-old Ragin Cajuns reliever has been undergoing extensive rehabitation for shoulder inflammation and hurt it again while working out last week. BNN contacted medical experts and were told that it is rare that a ballplayer can come back from such a bad injury. Padilla has no saves in his career with a 4-3 record and a 6.56 ERA. |
