Wood 5-5 for Wildcats Thursday, April 26th, 2018 Mathew Wood of the Arizona Wildcats went on a hitting spree today against Mississippi State pitching, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but to no avail -- the Bulldogs put a damper on his day and prevailed 9-6 over the Wildcats. Mathew Wood hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Eduardo Morales in the 7th and singled in the 9th. A look at his current stats shows Wood with a .472 average, 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has played in 37 games. |
